We watched an experimental film from a previous student, Polly Bridgeman, where she created her own thriller sequence which had a similar theme to our idea.
We mainly wanted to analyse the removing of frames, as this creates a jumpy, nerving sequence.
From this we found that this technique would work well in close-up shots of our actress moving forward.
To create this effect, we would use final cut, and use an enlarged timeline of the shots to view each individual frame, from this we can see clearly which shots to take out to give this thrilling atmosphere.
We also got inspiration from her make-up and costume. Although we had an idea of what we were wanting, this film contributed to our final decision of dark make-up and back-combed, scruffy hair
