Feedback

As a class we watched each groups rough cut of their opening.
Our feedback was that they liked all the editing techniques used and that we had a variety of them. The technique specifically pointed out was our use of layering which is looking quite effective toward the end of the sequence. Another piece of positive feedback was the title of the film on the notebook and how it vanishes as the book turns a page. They also liked the range of cinematography and the different shots and movement.
However our constructive critisism was that the ending finished quite suddenly and seemed quite confusing to the audience. We will try to resolve this by either adding in more of the clip of her normal or we will delete the whole clip and leave the opening on a cliffhanger. Another critsism was that it was hard to get a real atmosphere without the soundtrack. We have realised how crucial a sountrack is to build the atmosphere we hope for and to bring the overall opening together.
Overall the feedback was quite helpful we will work on our critsism and possible apply more to the positive feedback. It was also good to see how everyone elses cuts looked and if we could incorporate anything else into ours that we thought looked effective.
