Interviewee expectations of a thriller
Thought it was a good idea.
The beginning starting with the end was good, works well in limitless
The insanity idea gives a full range of directions to go in- broad base!
Like the ideas of her mentally and emotionally suffering, and showing it through extreme close-ups- e.g the eye shots.
Tapping of the table shows her nervous state, not knowing if this will esculate- suspense.
Shots of her pulling her hair shows her anxious and un-stable state of mind.
I asked what is the best thriller you have watched that has left you sitting in suspense?
'Silence of the Lambs' and 'Friday the 13th'.
- Suspense
- A twist in the story- not predictable
- A double shock- 'red herring' - i.e, cat entering door instead of axe murderer
- Confusing camera movement- e.g in there mind, viewing the future/past. e.g limitless
- Very fast moving film- music getting more intense and louder to sudden silence and calm
- Lighting- dark/moody/stormy- night/ dim/candle flickering
