Editing Process

We are currently in he editing process using final cut. We have ordered and have a rough cut of our opening which is starting to come together. We have included a few editing techniques which we were planning to use before.
So far the effects are looking as we hoped. We have used blurred black and white effect when seeing the flashbacks, which is used in 3 clips. We have also used a time lapse in the clip of a clock to give a tense feel and to show clearly the change of time in the narrative. We are also trying to change brightness and contrast in a few clips as although we used low key lighting while filming and on the camera it worked however once transferred to final cut, it didn't give the same effect. We may also use the effect of fish eye as our plan was to use a lens in one clip however we didnt check we had it so we hope it will create the same effect on final cut.
We are also trying to compose a soundtrack, we have a rough score however without the editing of our opening it will be hard to fit in the sound effects and when the music needs to change with the atmosphere and narrative. We have created some sound effects of our own which we will hopefully use and we will also use downloaded effects.
We only have 4 lessons left to film  and we hope this will be enough time to get our opening to the standard we would like and to look like our vision of it.
