Interview

I interviewed another person who is a male teenager to see if there was any contrast in their expectations and thoughts on our opening to the middle aged women i interviewed previously.
I asked him of his expectations of a thriller film and his were similar. He said he would expect there there to be a crime involved that the story is based around. Also that it would be quite scary and keep the audience involved and on edge throughout most of it.
I then explained our idea and how it is coming along with the effects and soundtrack.
He was enthusiastic about the idea and said he'd be interested in watching it. Also that with the editing complete and with the soundtrack being quite scary to fit with the narrative it ill look very effective. he liked the idea of the black and white blurred edges being used in the flashbacks as it would clearly show the change in time and a dark side to the story. He also though the red filter would look effective to show the characters emotions of possible anger and of the murder.
Overall the feedback was useful as our target audience seemed positive and that we are fitting conventions of a thriller. It was also interesting to see that a different age and gender both had pretty similar expectations of a thriller which made me realise how important it is to follow conventions and clearly show this genre. Also that both people said that out opening sounded good. This makes us think we are on the right tracks and the productive criticism given will be taken into account.
